Bookkeeper-Acting WPCA Tax Collector

The Litchfield WPCA is accepting applications to hire a part-time bookkeeper/Acting WPCA Tax Collector. This is part time and remote working position which will require 350-400 hours per year or an average of 7-8 hours per week. During the months of August through October more hours will be require to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.

 

Requirements: 4-6 years of prior professional bookkeeping or municipal tax collection experience. Proficient in Word, Excel, and ideally Quality Software-which is a tax collection software program. The ability to create reports and balance all receivables, including assessments and other revenue sources. Work in concert with the Town of Litchfield Finance Department. Report to the WPCA Commission on a monthly basis and worked closely with the Treatment Plant Superintendent and other Town officials.

Salary: Based on experience.  This position is a 1099 contracted position, and there are no fringe benefits or paid time off. Candidates must have the ability to work remotely, have a cell phone, and computer with internet access to perform all responsibilities.
