LITCHFIELD: The Litchfield Registrars of Voters will have additional office hours for voter registration on Tuesday, July 28, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in their office in the basement of the Litchfield Town Hall at 74 West Street, Litchfield. The Town Hall is closed, but voters may call 860 567 7558 to be admitted to the registration session.
This session is 14 days before the August 11th primary. Only voters registered in either the Democratic or Republican party are permitted to vote in the primary. By state law, unaffiliated voters are not allowed to vote in primaries. Unaffiliated voters are able to register with a party up until noon on Monday, August 10, the day before the primary.
Voters can also register, change their address or party affiliation, and check their registration on line at portal.ct.gov/sots
