Promotes the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the public welfare of the public through the preservation and protection
Commission shall be charged with preservation, improvement and maintenance of all public parks and recreational facilities of the Town.
Administers Town’s pension in accordance with Federal and CT statutes and regulations. Appoints an investment advisor/consultant to assist.
Combats substance abuse within the youth of our community through education, coordination and support.
Operates, conducts and maintains Sandy Beach as a Rec facility in accordance with a lease between Litchfield, Morris, and White Memorial.
Charged with understanding of the service needs in Litchfield, assess the services provided and implement new services based on need.
Steering committee working to benefit the Litchfield community by collaborating with partners to achieve SustainableCT certification.
Review and evaluate Town facility needs and recommends to the Board of Selectmen the most efficient use.
Increase driver, pedestrian and cyclist safety in the Town of Litchfield through structural improvements and more.
Coordinates matters concerning veterans and their dependents in areas of employment, benefits and more.
Generally oversees and manages sewage disposal for the Town.
Quasi-judicial body that hears appeals from decisions of Zoning Enforcement Officer.
