  NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS REGARDING CONSTRUCTION WORK IN THE TOWN’S RIGHT-OF-WAY

 

In accordance with Town’s Code of Ordinances, all construction work completed in the Town’s right-of-way requires a permit from the Town’s Public Works Department. This permit must be obtained before any work is performed.

 

Recently, a large number of driveways have been resurfaced with the contractor acquiring the required driveway permit in advance. The Town may impose a financial penalty for such unpermitted work, for which the property owner will be held liable.

 

We urge all residents that are contracting for work such as driveway resurfacing, installation of irrigation systems, or any other work that is in proximity to the road, to verify that their contractor has taken out all of the required permits before beginning the work.
