Town of Litchfield
December 3, 2024
 
A referendum vote of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in town meetings of the Town of Litchfield, Connecticut will be held in the Town of Litchfield at the following places:
 
District 1 – Litchfield Firehouse, Route 202, Litchfield, CT 06759
Districts 2/4 – Northfield Firehouse, 14 Knife Shop Road, Northfield, CT 06778
District 3 – Bantam Borough Hall, Route 202, Bantam, CT 06750
 
and simultaneously in Goshen, Morris and Warren, Connecticut on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm pursuant to Section 10-56 of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut, as amended, upon a resolution adopted by the Regional School District No. 20 Board of Education at a meeting held on October 22, 2024.
 
The resolution will be placed on the ballot labels as the following question:
 
“ Shall Regional School District No. 20, comprised of the Towns of Goshen, Litchfield, Morris and Warren, appropriate $1,900,000 to pay for the debt service costs incurred as part of the establishment of Regional School District No. 20 and pursuant to the Plan Amendment approved by voters of the District on June 28, 2022 and authorize the issuance of bonds or notes of the District in an amount not to exceed $1,900,000 to finance the appropriation?”   YES     NO
 
Voters approving the resolution shall vote “Yes” and those opposing the resolution shall vote “No”.
 
A copy of the full text of the resolution is on file and available for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office.  Absentee ballots will be available from the Town Clerk’s office.
